Bangalore: Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro, and Magnasoft, a leading provider of end-to-end GIS solutions, have announced that they have entered into a strategic alliance to provide their customers in the transportation sector, the combined benefit of Wipro’s enterprise applications and system integration services and Magnasoft’s niche fleet management solutions.

Wipro Technologies provides domain, technology and business support solutions to its global customers in transportation industry and an alliance with Magnasoft augments its existing operations management solutions. Magnasoft’s GIS-based fleet management solution (FleetWatch) offers advanced features, such as vehicle management, driver management, trip and route planning, driver merit analysis, customised reporting and backend integration with existing ERP, CRM and SCM implementations.

FleetWatch is built over a platform-independent architecture to ensure compatibility with industry-standard communication technologies, including GSM, CDMA, radio and satellite. It also supports seamless integration with the related hardware supplied by recognised hardware manufacturers.

Wipro and Magnasoft will approach the market with this mutually enhanced portfolio through their respective sales or sales partner outfits located at various parts of North America and Europe, respectively.
