VisualSoft Tech opens BPO division in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: VisualSoft Technologies' BPO division, VisualSoft Interactions, comprising a 500-seat center, has begun operations in the city. The investment in the project is Rs 18 crore.

According to D V S Raju, chairman and managing director, VisualSoft, initially the company intended to do pilot projects by handling transaction processing, market research and tech support, and later, in the next 12-15 months, put into operation another 350 seats.

"We have recruited our first batch of 40, and training is being given to them and pilot programmes have commenced. Commercial operations will begin by the second week of April and there will be systematic ramp up of business as has been agreed upon by the partners," Raju said.

VisualSoft has tied up with a US BPO company, which has about 7,000 seats under operations, he disclosed but held back from identifying the collaborator.

He also indicated that VisualSoft's plans to start BPO operations at Vizag have been put off for the time being.

VisualSoft has acquired about a 100-acre plot at Vizag and had initially planned to construct a work place replete with residential accommodation for its BPO operations.
