Vodafone India has launched an international roaming pack that offers discounts of over 90 per cent on data and about 64 per cent on outgoing local and international calls.

The pack is in addition to the Rs1,499 scheme launched last year that offered a 60 per cent discount on international roaming on voice, data and SMS.

The new plan is launched for subscribers visiting countries the UK., the US., the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Thailand, the company said in a statement.

It offers more than 90 per cent discount on data with rates as low as Rs 50 per MB while roaming overseas. Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at Rs 25 per minute and Rs 50 per minute, respectively.

Incoming calls will charged at Rs 50 per minute.

It is available for a rental of Rs 2,499 and has a 30-day-validity, and can be used across 45 countries. Usage on any other international operator's network in these countries will be charged at standard international roaming charges.

''There is an increasing need of customers to remain connected while travelling abroad and our latest international roaming pack enables our customer to do that. It guarantees affordable connectivity for our customers travelling to countries like UK, USA, UAE, Singapore etc.

Ensuring quick and hassle-free data access upon arrival, it addresses the needs of diverse customer segments,'' said Vivek Mathur, Chief Commercial Officer, Vodafone India.
