Viacom-owned TV music and entertainment channel MTV is teaming up with Spanish fashion retailer Zara to launch a new clothing range based around the MTV logo in London. The channel is targeting its core audience - youth. Zara is an international fashion range. It stocks men's, women's and children's clothing as well as having a range of products for the home. The Streetmuse range will feature designs around the MTV logo, some in muted tones and some in fluorescent colours. "MTV is an iconic, constantly evolving, aspirational brand and the world's number one music and entertainment multiplatform destination for young people," said ean-Philippe Randisi, managing director, NVCP International. "Combine this with Zara's unique ability to interpret and reinvent design, and you have the makings of a phenomenal collaboration," he said The range includes men's t-shirts and hoodies will feature designs around the MTV logo, some in muted tones and some in fluorescent colours. It will be targeted at the channel's core audience. The men's t-shirts and hoodies will be available from 5 March in over 1000 Zara stores in 68 countries worldwide. London's Oxford Street Zara store will display the range in its shop window. Streetmuse's funky design-led t-shirts and hoodie encapsulate the very essence of the street and MTV brand - a collision of music, art, dance, innovation and attitude - which resonates fiercely with today's youth. The original creative visually explores and references urban world city landscapes in a personal yet graphic way, capturing the brand's cult heritage and modern day irreverence, resulting in a mix of muted grey and black toned designs, as well as brighter, fluorescent colour schemes.
