Tata Motors global sales increases by 35 per cent

Tata Motors, India's largest automobile company, yesterday said that its global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), increased 35 per cent in November to 1,08,028 units over the same period last year.

Global sales of all commercial vehicles, Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range, were 49,724 units in November 2011, a growth of 24 per cent.

Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 371,410 unit, a growth of 18 per cent, said Tata Motors in a statement.

Global sales of all passenger vehicles were 58,304 units in November 2011, higher by 47 per cent, while cumulative sales for the fiscal were 379,047 units, higher by 4 per cent.

The company said that global sales of its passenger vehicles and the distribution offtake in India of Fiat cars were 29,121 units, higher by 74 per cent over November 2010 sales. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 193,616 units, lower by 8 per cent.

Global sales of JLR in November 2011 were at 29,183 vehicles, higher by 27 per cent over November 2010.
