New Delhi: India's third largest two wheeler maker, TVS Motor Company, is focusing on the need for clean and green energy at its display at the Ninth Auto Show.

Kinetic says that 35 per cent of the world's energy was being met by petroleum products and with demand expected to increase by an average of two per cent each year up to 2030 the imperative for change was immediate and real.

The company said it has always targeted mass market models in order to have the greatest impact on clean air and fuel economy and thereby a better environment for future generations.

TVS Motor's display at the ninth auto expo being held at New Delhi showcases the newly launched TVS Flame, the 110 cc StaR City, the Apache EF1 along with the yet to be launched TVS Scooty, Teenz Electric and a three wheeler. The new offerings are targeted at different segments of the two and three wheeler customers.

The company expects to sell at least 20,000 Flame models a month and its plant in Hosur in Tamil Nadu state has a capacity to make 100,000 three-wheelers.

The company, which has a capacity to make 2.7 million units in three plants in India and one in Indonesia, sees 2008/09 as the comeback year.
