Symantec Corporation has announced the launch of Talkworks PRO 3.0 and ACT! 2000, which comprise a comprehensive set of customer relationship management tools for  small businesses and sales professionals.

TalkWorks PRO 3.0 is a complete voice and fax message solution for small businesses and home offices. It offers a powerful tool for projecting a more professional image by providing access to urgent messages and tools for tracking and managing messages effectively.

ACT! 2000 provides an integrated contact management solution for every step of the sales process with new sales productivity tools, which track all opportunities fromact.jpg (22652 bytes) prospecting to close using built-in Dale Carnegie training methodology. ACT! 2000 customers can also connect with their contacts using the Internet and generate new leads through ACT!'s Internet integration.

TalkWorks PRO gives small businesses high-quality voice messaging capabilities found in expensive, complex corporate voicemail systems. TalkWorks PRO provides an extensive selection of professionally pre-recorded greetings and offers users the option of recording their own greetings. Users can create multiple mailboxes as well as multi-tiered mailboxes to accommodate their specific business needs.

TalkWorks PRO includes voicemail features that give businesses increased control over communications. The new Caller ID-based screen pop immediately links to the users phone book and pulls up caller information. Also new in TalkWorks PRO is support for voicemail broadcast, which enables small businesses to quickly communicate important information to groups of customers or suppliers. For more personalized service, TalkWorks PRO's special caller feature allows businesses to play greetings to specific callers or direct them to specified mailboxes. TalkWorks PRO also supports workgroup voicemail for groups up to 15.

ACT! helps professionals manage sales opportunities from prospect to close with features that allow them to track their progress through the stages of the sales cycle.

ACT! 2000 includes expert assistance for turning contacts into sales from Dale Carnegie Training, a leading professional and business skills development institute in the US. The two companies have developed an 11-stage Sales Development Cycle that helps sales professionals identify and manage opportunities. Those stages include information on identifying new opportunities, making initial communication, presenting the solution, negotiating the deal and closing the sale.

Users can also link directly to Dale Carnegie Training's web site to obtain additional information regarding their tried and true relationship process, including sales coaching tips.

System Requirements

TalkWorks PRO 3.0 requires a Pentium PC; Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0; 32MB RAM; and a compatible voice/fax modem.

ACT! 2000 requires Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or Windows NT 4.0, a PC with 80486 or higher microprocessor, CD-ROM drive, 16 MB of RAM, VGA video and 50MB free hard disk space for installation and a mouse or other Windows compatible pointing device.

Pricing and Availability

TalkWorks PRO 3.0 is available now for Rs. 4250 while ACT! 2000 is scheduled to be available in India for a retail price of Rs. 4200.
