Starbucks denies rumour of discounts for undocumented immigrants

Starbucks Corporation is scotching a rumour that its coffee shops will offer discounted drinks and food, to undocumented immigrants on 11 August.

Jonh Kelley, senior vice president of global communuications at Starbucks Corporation,  told The Associated Press in an email that the rumour is ''completely false. One hundred percent fake.''

Starbucks also tweeted to shoot down fake advertisements that promoted ''Dremear Day.''

According to the bogus ads, undocumented immigrants could avail 40 per cent off any menu item on 11 August.

The stock of Starbucks Corporation on Friday traded at beginning with a price of $55.97 and when day-trade ended the stock finally moved down -0.43 per cent to reach at $55.44.
