Satyam, Rational Software in alliance

Hyderabad: Satyam Computer Services Ltd, the Hyderabad-based end-to-end software solutions major, and Rational Software Corporation, the US-based software development leader, have entered into strategic partnership, in which Satyam will become a systems integrator and a test bureau partner under the Rational Unified Partner Programme.

Rational Test Bureau is an international testing programme, in which trained and supported testing-service companies use the testing tools of the company like Rational Suite TestStudio (RSTS) and Rational TeamTest, to provide functional, reliability and performance-testing of customers' software applications.

According to the agreement, Rational extends the right to utilise RSTS products to provide software application scalability and performance-testing services to Satyam's customers.

Limited-testing budget appears to be one of the burdens that affect the time-to-market for sophisticated software solutions.
