Mumbai: Samsung India Electronics has rolled out its festive promotional activities for this festive season, which begins with Diwali and extends up to Christmas. The company expects to notch up revenues of Rs 550 crore in this season.

Towards this end, the consumer electronics and home appliances major launched its product promotional activities on 16 September, Rub Ka Kamaal, timing it with the Pooja holidays. Samsung India expects the good economic conditions in the country to boost its sales.

Samsung is also introducing six new models of washing machines, four microwave ovens and a range of colour televisions (CTVs) and its ''Made in India'' refrigerator series during this season, Zutshi adds.

The company expects to sell 3 lakh CTVs during the promotional period, he says. "We are also offering an additional warranty of three years for CTVs purchased during the period, apart from existing one year, while that on washing machines will be five years [two plus three]."
