Bangalore:
After Phaneesh Murthy, Infosys loses one more global marketing
head.
Jessie
Paul has joined Quintant Corporation (www.quintant.com),
India''s first business services provisioning (BSP) company,
as its global marketing head. Paul will be based out of
Bangalore, India. She joined Quintant, in which Phaneesh
Murthy, ex-global marketing head of Infosys, joined as
an advisor.
At
Quintant, Paul will be responsible for building awareness
for the BSP concept, popularising this internationally
and managing all aspects of the Quintant brand. In keeping
with the global delivery model adopted by the business,
Paul will work with local marketing teams based out of
the US and Europe.
Says
Quintant president and member of the board Tiger Ramesh:
"We are excited to have Jessie Paul as part of the
management team. She has a proven track record of building
and managing global brands. Quintant will tremendously
benefit from her expertise in our exercise of building
the brand for the first BSP with a global delivery model."
Paul
is equally ecstatic: "Working with Infosys was a
tremendous experience. I think Quintant will be the lighthouse
brand in the BSP space, and it will be exciting to build
it grounds-up. In just three months since its launch,
Quintant has already become a well-known name in industry,
and I look forward to working with Tiger Ramesh and the
team in strengthening this position."
Paul
joins Quintant from Infosys where she was global brand
manager. She has considerable expertise in brand globalisation
and was part of the core team that set up the marketing
department at Infosys, and put in place the marketing
infrastructure and processes. Her efforts in this area
earned her the Chairman''s Award in 1998.
She
has since focused on building awareness for Infosys worldwide
through institutionalising the field marketing programmes
with a mix of global and India-based resources. Paul anchored
the Wharton Infosys Business Transformation Award, the
result of an alliance with the Wharton School, which contributed
towards building the Infosys brand globally.
This
marketing initiative earned Infosys the US-based IT Services
Marketing Association''s Diamond Award in 2002. Paul was
instrumental in setting up Infosys literature system,
multimedia collateral, Europe events programme, and was
part of the India team for the Nasdaq listing. Other responsibilities
included brand standardisation and conceptualising and
managing key customer touch points such as the company''
s flagship customer forums in the US and Europe.
Before
joining Infosys, Paul worked in account management at
Ogilvy and Mather Advertising, part of the WPP group.
She has also briefly worked as an engineer with Tata Elxsi.
She holds a bachelor''s degree in computer science from
Regional Engineering College, Trichy, and an MBA from
the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
