Chennai: AIG Systems Solutions Private Limited, a joint venture between American International Group Technologies — a subsidiary of the American International Group (AIG) — and Polaris Software Lab Limited has been appraised at CMMI maturity level 3. Starting its operations in October 2003, AIG Systems offers IT solutions to various divisions of AIG. The company has become one of the youngest IT companies to have achieved this quality distinction. Interestingly, Polaris is the first company in the world to have achieved the CMMI maturity level 5 certification way back in 2001.

AIG Systems has around 250 employees and has delivery centres in Chennai and Kolkata. The company is poised to grow with AIG outfits positively inclined to get their IT services done from the AIG Systems. "This is an important milestone achieved by AIG Systems and reflection of the excellent progress that the company has made in this short period," commented Sunil Mehta, country head & CEO, AIG-India.
