Moser Baer Clean Energy to buy 25 MWp modules from First Solar

Moser Baer Projects' solar subsidiary Moser Baer Clean Energy Limited (MBCEL) today said it will procure 25 megawatts DC of First Solar's advanced thin-film modules for its solar power generation projects.

MBCEL is developing over 300 MWp of solar power projects in Germany, Italy, US, Australia and India, informs Lalit Jain, chief operating officer, international operations, MBCEL.

The delivery is expected to take place by 30 June, 2011.

Established in 2008 to develop renewable power projects worldwide, MBCEL has commissioned 5 MWp solar PV project in Tamil Nadu and 13 MWp solar PV projects in Germany.

Based out of New Delhi, Moser Baer Projects is engaged in the development of power assets using conventional and non- conventional sources of energy.

First Solar manufactures solar modules with an advanced semiconductor technology and provides comprehensive photovoltaic (PV) system solutions.
