Caretel to provide BPO services for MTNL

Caretel Infotech, a Dalmia group, business process outsourcing (BPO) services provider has bagged a two-year contract from state-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) to manage the latter's call centre operations. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In a statement issued by Caretel , the company says the contract initially provides for 200 seats and this would help MTNL save costs and ramp up profitability.

Under the contract, Caretel will manage in-bound call center operations for MTNL's GSM services in Mumbai and offer multi-lingual voice and data support through its call centre.

Caretel will also provide support on billing, outbound calling for generation of leads and telemarketing and billing reminder services for MTNL subscribers.

According to Amit Roy CEO of Caretel, the company saw vast potential business in the Indian telecom market in the near future and it would continue adding more names to its growing list of clients across the country.

Caretel's BPO services for various clients include multi-lingual e-book publushing, data entry and processing etc for private and government organisations.
