Mumbai: Kinetic Motor Company has launched the first 135cc gearless scooter in the country - the Kinetic Nova 135. The Nova 135 features a 135cc, 8.5 bhp engine - the most powerful engine ever on a gearless scooter.

According to the company, the Nova 135 aims to give its owner the most enjoyable ride quality through a combination of unmatched power, acceleration, comfort, mileage, style and utility.

The company says the Nova 135 is the most powerful gearless scooter ever made in India - more powerful than its nearest competition by a whopping 33cc. It's refined, smooth 4-stroke engine produces 8.5 bhp power to give strong pick up and speed. In addition, it is very stylish with two-tone colours and detailed touches.

In addition comfort is assured through a sophisticated suspension system, wide wheelbase and 130mm powerful brakes. It delivers on utility via electric start, gearless variomatic transmission, a standard glove box, huge underseat storage that can hold two helmet, puncture resistant tyres, and a mobile charge point. It also lights up automatically at night. The Nova 135 comes with a mileage-guiding device called the "mileage expert" and in city conditions gives a mileage of 55 to 60 kmpl, highest for any gearless scooter.

The Nova135 is priced aggressively at Rs38,975 - ex showroom with Octroi - comparable with the price of other 100cc scooters.

The scooter will be aggressively promoted via a campaign that focuses on the "feel-good" factor of riding a scooter with a truly enjoyable ride. This feel good factor in the campaign is expressed by the exclamation Aaho! The campaign will use a mix of TV, press and outdoor advertising for reaching out to the scooter consumer.
