New Delhi: Jet Airways yesterday announced the launch of 'Monsoon Super Apex' fares, which are 20 per cent lower than the existing apex fares offered by it on eight metro routes.
These include Delhi-Bangalore, Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Hyderabad, Delhi-Mumbai, Kolkata-Bangalore and Kolkata-Chennai.
A passenger availing himself of the Monsoon Super Apex fare will be charged Rs 2,500 for a one-way travel between Delhi and Mumbai, while earlier the passenger would have paid Rs 3,450 for the same journey. However, this scheme is provided to tickets booked at least 30 days before travel.
Similarly, a passenger travelling on the Delhi-Chennai, Delhi-Bangalore, Kolkata-Bangalore and Kolkata-Chennai sectors would be charged Rs 3,500 now, if the booking is made at least 30 days before travel.
Before the new scheme was introduced, passengers availing themselves of the 30-day apex fare would have been charged Rs 3,835 for a one-way journey on the Delhi-Chennai sector, while they would have paid Rs 4,790 for travel between Delhi and Bangalore. The new apex fares come into immediate effect and are valid till September 15.
The airline has also said that passengers holding the existing super apex fare ticket can have them reissued to the new lower level fares provided the 30-day advance purchase requirement is fulfilled.
