Jet Airways, Air Canada in code-share arrangement for India-Canada flights

Jet Airways has announced that it has formed a code-share partnership with Air Canada, offering seamless travel to passengers between India and Canada, effective 28 February 2008.

The agreement will allow passengers flying between Mumbai and London Heathrow on Jet Airways operated flights to connect with Air Canada flights to/ from Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, and Edmonton.

The agreement includes Jet Airways flights between Chennai and Toronto, which will also benefit from the code-share agreement with Air Canada.

Apart from seamless transfers through check-in and interline e-ticketing passengers will additionally benefit from frequent flyer benefits on code-share routes on an accrual basis as well.

According to Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, chief executive officer, Jet Airways, ''Jet Airways' codeshare agreement with Air Canada will offer greater choice of destinations and enable passengers to fly with greater convenience and flexibility between India and Canada, not only through our Brussels hub but also via London.''

Both Jet Airways and Air Canada will now be able to leverage their strengths and leadership positions to better serve the existing passenger traffic between the two countries.
