Mumbai: Reliance Industries Ltd vice-chairman and managing director Anil Ambani has joined the board of Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd (IPCL).

Ambani replaces K G Ramanathan with effect from 20 August 2002. Ramanathan, erstwhile chairman and managing director of IPCL, has resigned from the board.

Other IPCL board members include the Mukesh Ambani, Nikhil R Meswani, Anand Jain, Kamal P Nanavaty and S K Anand.

Ashok Chawla and H C Gupta are the government nominees, while Lalit Bhasin, Shailesh V Haribhakti, Sandeep H. Junarkar and R S Lodha are independent directors.
