Mumbai:
Hinduja TMT Ltd (HTMT) has acquired US-based BPO company,
Affina. Hinduja TMT, however, did not disclose the amount
involved in the deal.
The
acquisition will enable HTMT to access large and high
net worth clients, including many Fortune 500 companies,
while enhancing its onshore delivery capabilities in
the US in specialised domains such as consumer electronics,
FMCG , retail, government and telecom, the company said
in a release.
With
the Affina acquisition, the company will have more than
65 customers and a total headcount of more than 9,000
employees. Affina would retain its current management
for some time and function as a subsidiary of Hinduja
TMT.
The
company will now operate from 14 cities - seven in North
America, one each in the Philippines and Mauritius and
five in India.
Affina
has annual revenues of $60 million and operations in
seven centres
in the US and Canada. The company has a three-decade
track record of serving globally recognised clients.
For
the year to March 2006, Hinduja TMT''s revenues were
$52.32 million (Rs2.38 billion).
