India: Hathway Cable Internet, among the largest private
sector broadband cable ISPs in India, has lowered its
connection charges with the launch of two new packages
Liteway Basic and Thruway.
Liteway
provides net speeds up to 256kbps at a monthly charge
of Rs275, while the 64kbps Thruway is an unlimited usage
plan at Rs500 per month. The company has slashed registration
fee and waived it completely for half-yearly plans.
It
has also reduced the costs of additional downloads to
90 paise per MB and done away completely with monthly
rentals. However, both plans have a registration fee
of Rs500. Its cable modems will now be available provided
on a returnable deposit of Rs1,000.

for the masses and encourage usage of Internet services.
The
subscriber will thus be hassle free from the restriction
on the number of hours or usage limit that he can utilize
on the net and this in turn will help him surf comfortably.
Hathway
has also recently announced its attractive COMBO package
for its Digital Cable Service and High speed Broadband
Internet. The combined
initial payment of the digital box and the Internet
modem will cost only Rs2,495. The balance amount can
be paid through easy installments of Rs210 over 12 months.
