Hathway offers affordable broadband packages

The new packages start at 50 paise per MB for a minimum of 1 GB downloads on monthly basis at Rs500, for 256 Kbps speed. Prepaid packages start at 43 paise per MB. Hathway Cable and Datacom MD and CEO K Jayaraman said: "Our mission is to offer subscribers packages at affordable prices."
As a promotional offer Hathway earlier did not charge any rental on its cable modem free, to be taken back when the subscriber surrendered the connection. It has now started charging rentals on the modem for new subscribers.
Part of the Rajan Raheja group, Hathway is a leading cable TV provider and has a strategic alliance with global broadcaster STAR. It is one of the largest broadband cable internet service providers in the country, offering cable TV and broadband in eight cities —Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik and Ludhiana. It offers only cable TV in Jalandhar and Vijaywada as well, and will be soon rolling out on a pan India level.
