The facilities and conditions that make Google Australia the nation's best place to work include ping-pong tables, beanbag-filled meeting rooms and a free cafeteria. The company has achieved such status that ''to Google'' has become a commonly accepted term for carrying out an internet search.

BRW's list of Top 50 places for work was based on research carried out by the Great Place to Work Institute, Australia which surveyed more than 15,000 employees. The magazine said that the common theme it uncovered in the success of the top 50 was – perks.
