 Mumbai:
Emirates has introduced reduced fares for students heading
west to pursue their studies. It is offering a special
fare of Rs27000 to students traveling economy class to
New York , arriving at John F Kennedy airport, via Dubai
from any of the five Indian gateways — Cochin, Chennai,
Hyderabad, Delhi and Mumbai. The offer is valid till September
30, 2004.
Emirates
is also offering a number of special fares to students
who take onward flights from JFK airport to other destinations
within the US. The tickets have to be issued through
a travel agent within seven days of reservation.
In
addition to the special fare, students would be allowed
to carry extra baggage, not exceeding 32kg, over and
above the normal allowance of two pieces of baggage
at 32kg each. To avail of this offer,
students need to present, a copy of their ticket along
with a copy of form I20 and the student visa, to the
issuing travel agent.
