DaimlerChrysler India has announced the launch of its "new-look" Mercedes-Benz C-Class range in India. The C-Class, available in two engine variants, the petrol C 200 Kompressor and the diesel C 220 CDI, now comes with even greater visual and aesthetic appeal, dynamism and vibrancy, thanks to the "face-lift".

The aggressive styling of this automobile is further complimented with upgrades in technology, equipment and design. The suspension and steering now has a sportier configuration, ensuring that the C-Class offers an even more agile driving experience.

Announcing the launch of the new-look C-Class, Hans-Michael Huber, CEO and managing director of DaimlerChrysler India said, "The C-Class has been our most popular series in India and since its introduction in 2001, we have sold over 2,000 units in India. The face-lift of the C-Class is in line with our philosophy of continuous evolution of our model range and will add further to the appeal and popularity of the C-Class in India."

The attractive design of the C-Class, with its modern twin headlamp face, expresses two of the key features of the new C-Class, namely dynamism and elegance. The sedan is a youthful, progressive car that is characterised by newly-developed technology, powerful engines, the latest technical innovations and, in particular, sporty agility. These features are combined in the new C-class with traditional Mercedes qualities such as maximum possible safety, top quality, exemplary comfort and superb reliability.

The new C class is priced at Rs 2,523,000 and Rs. 2,298,000 for the for the C220 CDI and C200 K respectively (ex-showroom - Mumbai).
