CA associates with HDFC Bank, NSE, PwC, and Wipro

HDFC Bank Limited, established in 1994 has a network of 60 branches across 20 cities (20 more to be added by the end of the year) with an equally wide network of automated teller machines (ATMs) across India,. It also has telephone and Internet banking.

HDFC Bank will use Unicenter TNG to help simplify management of its technology infrastructure using leveraging the network, desktop and system management capabilities of Unicenter TNG. Unicenter TNG wsill allow HDFC Bank to automate operating procedures like conducting periodic backups, software updates as well as monitoring operating systems, databases and networks for optimum availability and capacity utilization, streamline IT operations and improve the quality of service. The implementation of Unicenter TNG will form the foundation for end-to-end monitoring and administration of HDFC Bank's heterogeneous IT environment.

Earlier on 22 November Computer Associates announced that the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India, one of the largest interactive stock exchanges in India and the world, has selected CA's Unicenter TNG to manage and monitor its highly complex IT resources and assist in disaster recovery.

NSE, located in Mumbai, was established in 1993 and lists more than 1,300 securities and conducts more than $750 million (U.S.) daily in trading with over 4,700 trading members and dealers logging in to the trading system every day for online real-time trading. NSE also displays live stock quotes at its website  (www.nse-india.com).

NSE has trading terminals spread over 290 cities in the country connected to the exchange through more than 2,300 VSATs (very small aperture terminals) and this number is expected to grow to more than 3,000 in the next year.Unicenter TNG will be used for the IT infrastructure management of NSE's systems that include hardware platforms like Stratus, Compaq, Sun, HP and Intel servers, operating systems like UNIX and Windows NT apart from more than 1,000 desktop PCs.
