New Delhi: Carlson Hospitality Worldwide, the parent company of Radisson Hotels & Resorts, has tied up with Unicorn Holdings to further its presence in India.

Radisson White Sands Resort Goa is its first property, which is a part of this venture. The two groups together plan to launch other properties across the country in the next five years — the next after Goa being The Laguna Kumarakom Resort in Kerala.

Radisson White Sands Resort Goa is a spectacular setting along the Arabian Sea, 40 minutes from Goa’s Dabolim Airport, offering a serene refuge of comfort and hospitality, which is truly value for money.

The resort, situated on the Varca Beach, is few minutes away from Margao (the commercial hub of Goa) and just an hour away from Panjim (the capital of Goa). En route, one can visit the famous churches of Old Goa and view the picturesque villages and coconut plantations.

The resort provides a blend of Goan culture, Indian tradition and modernity, neatly woven together to meet international standards. The 160-guestroom resort offers the guests ample opportunities to broaden their horizons and rejuvenate. Positioned as a complete family holiday place, Radisson White Sands Resort Goa is the most attractive property under the Radisson brand in India today.

The heath spa, outdoor yoga, meditation centre, beauty parlour, ayurveda and international massage help you stay in shape. Recreational facilities include bowling alleys, putting green and a well-equipped water sports centre, offering para-sailing, banana boat rides, wind surfing, water skiing and excursions.

Says Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific president and managing director Paul Kirwin: “The opportunities for growth of our brands in India is immense, given the growth of the tourism and hospitality industry in the country.

“Since, globally Radisson is the leader in the hotel industry known for its genuine hospitality and commitment to delivering personalised service to guests, we are destined to become a vibrant and exciting new travel industry powerhouse in the next decade. As a plan to capitalise on this growing opportunity, we plan to increase our presence in India through many such associations.”

Adds Unicorn Holdings executive vice-president Hari Ravindranath: “We are extremely delighted to launch the new property in Goa through our tie-up with Carlson Hospitality Worldwide.

“Radisson is an extremely strong brand name in India as well as across the world. We are happy to be a part of this prestigious group. Being the newest member of the Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Radisson White Sands Resorts Goa is committed to offering total satisfaction to all our guests and ensuring that our association is fun as well as profitable.”
