As a sequel to the allegations by British Telecom (BT) that VSNL was blocking calls to its two call centres in India, the BT chairman, Christopher Bland, has appealed for the Indian government''s intervention.

British telecom had earlier alleged that it was being blocked by VSNL from routing calls to its call centres in Bangalore and New Delhi using Bharti Telecom''s network. BT''s calls from UK to India were to be carried by a network of undersea fibre optic cables of Flag Telecom, which is being acquired by Reliance Infocom.
