Mumbai: Now you can experience a perfect digital sensory immersion at your home, and in your most important business presentations, advertising, shop-front displays, briefings, educational training and other commercial application.

BenQ India has launched plasma display monitors for the Indian market, thus enhancing its presence in the digital display segment. BenQ 46W1 plasma display features high illumination, the finest digital resolution, and a body that is wafer thin and super lightweight. It is compact and fits into any space or can be hung anywhere.

BenQ India has appointed Godrej as the national distributor for the plasma display monitors. Says BenQ India managing director Tashi Gelek: “This is our initiative in offering the customer cutting-edge technology. We hope to leverage on Godrej’s extensive reach, penetration and network to market the plasma display monitors.”

Godrej & Boyce, thus, will be marketing BenQ’s digital display segment of products that includes projectors and plasma display monitors. Godrej & Boyce will also provide the after-sales support and service through its network of service centres spread across 15 cities in India.

BenQ’s unique ‘dynamic white balancing correction’ not only eliminates the greenish tinge of traditional PDP images, but also provides 10 per cent more colour than traditional PDP, bringing you images that are purer, crisper, brighter and more beautiful than ever.

By constantly compensating for the outlines of objects, 3D comb filter technology effectively dispenses with the colour mingling commonly produced by traditional display devices. Images are displayed with sharp outlines and within a richly accurate depth of field, immersing you in a scene.

BenQ plasma display is able to expand the 24 frames per second of movies through a 3:2 ratio to the 60-field broadcast format of conventional TV. The subtlest actions of motion pictures are captured with unsurpassed distinctness and clarity, bringing stimulating, true-to-life pictures directly into view that gives you that ‘live’ feeling.

Low gray level correction does away with the ripples commonly found in regular PDP images. Furthermore, it corrects the inconsistencies of colour that occur in the dark portions of images. BenQ’s SRS surround sound and booming true bass is complimented by a clear and penetrating treble purified by the focus technique. The high fidelity audio works in unison with life-like images to present you a realistic digital experience.

BenQ has an effective presence in display (LCD and CRT monitors); digital display (plasma screen and projectors); storage (CD-ROM, CD-RWs and DVD-RWs); media (CD-media); imaging (scanners and digital cameras) and input devices (keyboards and mice).

In a step towards refining its current distribution strategy, BenQ has adopted the regional model of distribution and is also in the process of identifying key distributors who could specialise in distributing individual product lines. The company is targeting its products like projectors with digital light processing (DLP) technology, world’s slimmest LCD monitors with smart panel for the Indian market and plasma screens.

BenQ stands for ‘bring enjoyment and quality to life.’ The company has drawn up an elaborate programme for brand promotions spanning events that includes the conventional advertising coupled with regular channel promotion schemes, system integrator meets, market development activities and promotional offers.
