Bharti Airtel, the country's largest telecom operator by revenue and subscribers, has offered 500 MB of free 3G data per month for three months. The offer is for pre-paid customers buying Nokia X.

Customers in non-3G circles can enjoy the same benefit on 2G data, the companies said in a joint statement.

''Nokia aims to constantly enhance user experience through innovative associations. The newly-launched Nokia X offers the unique combination of access to Android apps, coupled with signature Nokia experiences and Microsoft services,'' said Viral Oza, Director (Marketing) at Nokia.

Post exhaustion of the 500 MB of data, charges at 3 paise per 10KB (10 paise per 10KB in 2G circles) will apply. The offer is available only on the first SIM inserted in a new Nokia X device by existing or new Airtel customers. The offer can be availed on new devices bought until June 30, 2014.

''We wanted to bring this experience to our consumers in the most seamless way. With this offer, Nokia and Airtel have come together to make this possible. This reinforces Nokia's commitment towards working with our partners within the ecosystem to deliver the best user experiences,'' he added.

''The exciting offer of 500 MB per month free 3G data for 3 months will enable customers to make the most of their new Nokia X device,'' said Kartik Sheth, CEO (data and devices) at Bharti Airtel.

Nokia has also offering a 50-per cent discount on the Coloud POP WH-510 headphones. The headsets would be now priced at Rs 999 for consumers buying Nokia X between 10 March, 2014 and 30 April 30 2014.
