Mumbai: Sagar Apollo Hospital, the Bangalore-based multi-disciplinary, super-speciality hospital, and TTK Healthcare Services, one of the leading licensed third-party administrators (TPA), have adopted the technology driven insurance billing service to ensure hassle-free cashless transactions.
The announcement marks the successful 'going live' on a fast-track electronic claims process between Sagar Apollo Hospital and TTK Healthcare Services through a successful dry-run exercise of processing 50 bills, today. With this, Sagar Apollo Hospital becomes the first hospital in India to provide a truly cashless transaction in insurance claims processing. Implemented with the primary goal of providing a foolproof solution to insurance claims processing, the electronic claims processing system will enable online exchange of information on insurance claims between Sagar Apollo Hospital and TTK. Relevant details on the patient (admission date, treatment undergone, discharge summary, reports) will be posted online, to be accessed by the TPA for verification, authorisation of payments and reverts on non-permissible bills, if any. Thus, it will facilitate tracking the payer's specific requirements, significantly reduce rejection percentage and accelerate the payment turnaround time. The system has been developed and implemented by Cerise Information Technologies, in collaboration with MedSys e-Solutions FZ LLC, Dubai, using the latest Microsoft platform.
