BIG Entertainment, Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group's, the media vertical announced the launch of its movie and entertainment marketing division, BIG Boom.

BIG Boom aims to be a one-stop-shop for all marketing solutions for films ranging from associative marketing to publicity design, promotions and merchandise, according to a company statement. It added that Big Entertainment would also assist brands in leveraging the film and entertainment platforms to achieve their business objectives.

BIG Entertainment with interests in film production, exhibition and distribution, home video, music and DVD rental will offer film producers and advertisers a platform to liaise and leverage major brands across the country .

BIG Entertainment has also signed development deals with Julia Roberts' Red Om Films and Brett Ratner's Rat Entertainment according to media reports.

The company had earlier signed a deal with Dream Works SKG for a new $1.2 billion film company in September. It also has separate deals with seven Hollywood production houses run by top Hollwood actors including George Clooney, Brad Pitts and Tom Hanks.

A company statement said that BIG Entertainment may co-finance projects with nine production houses.

According to chairman of Reliance BIG Entertainment the company's foray into Hollywood has been very productive on the development front and the company is now looking to move into the filmmaking stage over the coming months.

Reliance ADAG provides the Hollywood studios support for production, distribution and exhibition in India.

George Soros, billionaire investor acquired a small stake in Reliance Entertainment for $100 million last year. Its venture with Dream Works SKG is expected start shooting films by the summer this year.

Other international production houses that have local co-production arrangements in India include Walt Disney Studios, Viacom Inc, Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers and News Corp's Fox Star Studios.
