In 2009, the economic recession is unlikely to turn around.

Neither will the terrorists stop their trade.

Nor will global warming change course.

We, in India, can probably deal with each of these threats sequentially.

Can we deal with them concurrently?

We need to survive. And live with dignity.

It’s time to think out-of-the-box.

It’s time to find innovative solutions to deal with parallel recession, terror and climate change.

It’s time for the GOI to conduct high powered Creativity Labs to generate an out pouring of ideas to address these threats?

For state governments to conduct the same.

And for businesses as well as educational and healthcare institutions to find innovative solutions to survive and grow with dignity.

Indians have enormous capability to generate innovative ideas.

Let it not remain an under-employed asset of the nation.

We must defeat the discomfort of 2009.
