Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., today announced their foray in the scooter
segment while unveiling its latest offering to the Indian customer, the Suzuki
Access 125 scooter. Suzuki
Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd is a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan with
its manufacturing plant in Gurgaon (Haryana) that has an annual capacity of 1,
70,000 units. The
company says this latest offering from Suzuki has set new benchmarks in technology,
performance, and styling to address the growing demand to fill the existing gap
between the 100 and 150 cc scooters in India. A
mid-sized scooter, Access 125 is sporty is powered by a 125cc air cooled, 4-stroke
engine and automatic transmission. Its attractive and aerodynamic styling also
assures of a rust free body thus reducing maintenance expenses. In
addition to its sporty, design, Suzuki Access 125 is equipped with features such
as Xtra torque performance (XTP) for enhanced performance and excellent riding
quality and a central locking system with unique shutter mechanism for a single
control point for the entire machine. The
Access 125 will be available in an appealing range of five colours (red, blue,
black, grey and silver) and will be available at Suzuki dealerships across the
country. "It
is a scooter that will meet customers'' desire for additional value, different
from the conventional scooter," said Katsumi Takata, joint managing director,
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. "We have utilised the best available technology
to develop Access 125. We are confident that this scooter will replicate the success
story of all other Suzuki products that are today benchmarks in quality, technology,
design and utility across the globe"
Speaking
at the unveiling of the Suzuki Access 125, Atul Gupta, vice president (sales and
marketing), Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, "This launch is in line with our
strategy to enhance our product portfolio by offering riding excitement to our
customers. At Suzuki, we have developed and designed Access 125 keeping in mind
the requirement of our Indian consumer. With its stunning looks and performance
we expect this new scooter to add excitement to their lives" He
also said that the Access 125 was the first of the company''s offerings in the
125cc non-geared segment.
