Saab to Develop and Upgrade the Swedish Armed Forces SK60 Training Aircraft
Saab will develop and upgrade the Swedish Armed Forces SK60 training aircraft to secure its use until 2017.
The order from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, is valued at SEK 130 million (approximately $19 million).
It includes the installation of a new GPS, audible altitude and primary warning signals for the pilot plus the replacement of certain instruments and a new aircraft cabin layout.
The upgrade will be fully completed by the end of 2011.
