Thales to supply full avionics, IFE package for AirAsia X's new A330-300s

Langkawi, Malaysia: Thales has announced that it has signed a avionics deal with AirAsia X, the Malaysian-based long-haul low-cost airline, under which it will supply critical avionic components, satcom systems and In-flight entertainment systems (IFE) to its new fleet of A330-300s, due for delivery from end of next year onwards.

 

The agreement, officiated at Asia-Pacific's premier aviation and maritime exhibition – LIMA, will see Thales provide AirAsia X's expanding fleet of 15 new Airbus 330-300s, with an option of 10 more, new cutting-edge IFE systems, satellite communications (Satcom) technology and critical avionics components.
