Tenth Airbus A-320 aircraft joins IndiGo fleet

New Delhi: Private LCC, IndiGo, has inducted another Airbus A-320 aircraft into its fleet, its tenth, and has also stated that it intends to buy five more by the end of the year.

IndiGo will deploy the new A-320 to connect Nagpur with Delhi and Pune, with the same aircraft then extending the service to Bangalore. With the fresh induction, the airline will now operate 70 daily flights to 14 destinations.

IndiGo is promoted by Gurgaon-based travel and aviation firm, InterGlobe Enterprises and former US-based airline executive, Rakesh Gangwal.

InterGlobe eventually intends to induct 40 aircraft, and connect some 30 Indian cities by 2010.
