Mysore: Frankfinn Aviation Services, India's leading manpower training organization in the aviation sector that grooms air hostesses and cabin crew, may soon launch its own low-cost airline. Air Frankfinn will likely be launched in 2009, and the launch may be preceded by an IPO to raise resources for the venture.

Frankfinn currently has over 40 training centers, spread over in 31 cities in the country.

According to Frankfinn Aviation Services chairman, KS Kohli, Air Frankfinn will have the same services as offered by full-fare airlines, but will offer cheaper fares. It has said that it will start operations with five aircraft, three big planes and two small ones, and also that it expects to build a fleet of 20-30 aircraft over three years.

The company is expected to file an application with the government for the launch of the airline in a few months. It says that at present it is in the process of appointing an aviation consultant, who is expected to take the whole process forward.

It also said that it is yet to decide whether it will opt for Airbus or Boeing aircraft for its fleet.
